In futures trading today after traders created fresh positions after pick-up in demand in the spot market the Chana prices were up by 0.07% to Rs 4,077 per quintal.
Chana for delivery in April month at the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange declined by Rs 3, or 0.07% to Rs 4,077 per quintal with an open interest of 30,050 lots and the commodity for delivery in May contracts traded higher by Rs 2, or 0.05% to Rs 4,130 per quintal in 6,720 lots.
Chana prices to pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions, analysts attributed the rise.

New Delhi: Chana prices were up by 1.48 percent to Rs 4,949 per quintal. In futures market today as participants strengthened positions, taking positive cues from spot market on upsurge in demand.
At National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, Chana for delivery in December gained Rs 72, or 1.48 percent to Rs 4,949 per quintal. Also an open interest wit it is of 50,200 lots.
The commodity for delivery in January contracts traded higher by Rs 46, or 0.98 percent to Rs 4,732 per quintal in 24,790 lots.
The rise in Chana prices to pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing belts is attributed by analysts.
